The company manages the nationwide group vision care benefits program of UnitedHealth Group as part of its Specialized Care Services unit. Spectera provides customizable vision care plans to about 17 million members through a network of some 24,000 retail and private optical providers. Spectera also offers vision care benefits enrollment, claims processing, and customer support services for its employer group clients. Its customers include government groups, unions, schools, and private firms.
