Peoples Bancorp of North Carolina owns Peoples Bank, which serves the Catawba Valley region of North Carolina through about 20 locations. It also runs Banco de la Gente ("Peoples Bank" in Spanish), which serves the area's Latino community. The banks offer standard services such as checking and savings accounts, CDs, mortgages (more than half of the company's loan portfolio), construction loans (nearly 30%), and business and consumer loans.
